Blending a perfect color match in 4 steps
The process is intuitive once you learn it. Richard teaches this hands-on in the certification course with live Zoom check-ins.
1. Analyze your client's hair
Study the natural depth, tone, and dimension in your client's hair. Look for highlights, shadows, and the base — just as you would for a color service.
2. Select your shades
Pull from your color ring to match what you see. Most clients need 2–4 shades to recreate their natural dimension accurately.
3. Draw through the matt
Lay your chosen shades side by side on the Drawing Matt and draw them through together. This distributes the colors naturally throughout the strand.
4. Bond and apply
Your custom-blended extension is bonded and placed. The result is seamless — impossible to distinguish from the client's own hair.
