I am the proud owner of The Loft Salon and The Scrub Bar. Growing up in Southern Maryland I attended cosmetology school at 15 years old and knew from a young age that I was meant to be a stylist. Having A.D.H.D. has probably helped me thrive amidst all the daily pressures, chaos, and fast paces of salon/business ownership life. At 19 years old I was able to purchase my first home this not only helped me mature into a responsible adult sooner than others, but also drove me to focus on my career.

Over the years I have discovered my true passion is inspiring young women to become independent by sharing the knowledge and experiences I have gained in the last twenty plus years. I was left to fend for myself, without a mentor, so having the opportunity to jump start someone’s future and watch them blossom using the lessons I can provide gives a sense of fulfillment that I cannot get strictly being a stylist.

A stylist is so much more than someone cutting or coloring a client’s hair. A client’s time with a stylist is just as much therapeutic as cosmetic. Over time friendships/bonds form because of the time spent together this is why grooming new talent is so vital to the industry.
