Professional Hair Extensions as a Solution

Hair extensions offer a remarkable advantage by allowing you to achieve a luscious head of hair in a fraction of the time it takes for natural growth. If you opt for hair extensions instead of a wig, it is crucial to consult with a qualified and professional hair stylist. During this consultation, you must inform the stylist about any previous treatments or medications you have undergone.

Following cancer treatment, hair often lacks protein and becomes fragile, making it prone to breakage. A professional stylist possesses the expertise to evaluate your scalp’s health and assess your hair’s strength. Based on this assessment, they can determine the feasibility of hair extensions and recommend the most suitable type. Additionally, they will ensure that the extensions are not applied too tightly, which can lead to shedding.

In cases where hair extensions are not a viable option, there are wigs specifically designed for individuals with sensitive or damaged scalps. It is advisable to wait at least six weeks before coloring your hair after cancer treatment, with semi-permanent color being preferred over permanent color.

Hair extensions can be a powerful tool for women undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy, helping them emerge stronger than ever. To experience a complete transformation, we encourage you to reach out to our professional stylists, who have extensive experience assisting women who have undergone cancer treatment. They will provide personalized consultations to determine the best options for regaining your style and confidence as your hair grows. Rest assured, hair extensions do not interfere with hair regrowth.

In conclusion, Extend USA offers a remarkable solution for individuals seeking to enhance their hair’s appearance and regain confidence. By consulting with our experienced stylists, you can embark on a journey towards a renewed sense of self and beauty.

One Survivor’s Story

I was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. You know you have a tough road ahead. Nobody can prepare you for what your journey will be, physically or emotionally. Everyone is different.

At the time of my diagnosis, my kids were ages 9 and 12. We talked to them about my illness and the plan for treatment. They were scared. I knew they would not worry as much if they saw me continuing to live my life and staying active. I did this to the best of my ability. Many unusual side effects from my treatments were felt. I was fortunate to feel pretty good. I was able to continue working and maintain a healthy day.

“Almost two years later, I finished my treatments. They included twenty weeks of chemotherapy. Two targeted therapy drugs, a radical mastectomy, and six weeks of radiation.

Dealing with hair loss

Facing the challenges of hair loss from Chemotherapy was very difficult. I chose to wear a wig throughout most of my treatment. There was another challenge when the treatment was over. My hair was going to start to grow back. It would be hard to continue wearing a wig. My Doctor advised me to get sunlight to let my head breathe and promote hair growth. I was not comfortable being bald. I was going back to work and in front of clients a lot

A friend told me about Extend USA. They Specialized in hair extensions for women who have faced hair loss from Chemotherapy.  Their trained specialists can attach hair extensions to hair as short as one inch. I consulted with the company owner, Richard Millstein. Once my hair was at the right length, I went to his salon for extensions.

It was incredible to see the intricacy of attaching hundreds of strands of hair! the transformation was amazing! I have been wearing the extensions now for almost six months, and my hair is growing in nicely with them!

Today I am trying to live my new normal life — happy to be Cancer free and a survivor!
