Led by a team of hair extension pioneers, our renowned experts will lead you through the art of the extension process.  With training available in Washington DC, Ft. Lauderdale, Anaheim, and Nashville, our 2-day workshops will provide you with the skills and knowledge to give your clients the beautiful hair they’ve always dreamed of. Included with the expert instruction, you will receive everything you need to get started in our official Extend USA Extension System.

Classes are limited to a maximum of six stylists per educator, ensuring that our students fully master the Extend technique. We stand by the principle that the most effective means of learning is through experience. Extend USA's intensive training program is designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to launch your professional extension career. We recognize that each stylist has their own creative vision; our teaching method emphasizes individuality and will help you discover your own sense or originality. Our extensive experience as stylists and educators means this product was designed by and for the stylist. Natural hair extensions only happen with the highest quality human hair. All Extend USA human hair has been individually hand selected strand by strand for our extensions. The finest European, Remy and Russian hair are used to create the Extend USA natural hair extensions. You are able to easily adjust the length, volume and thickness to create a perfect customized look.

Richard Millstein Biography

Richard Millstein has spent over 35 years in the hair industry as a Platform Artist and Advanced Hair Cutting Educator for Paul Mitchell, Joico, and Zegarelli. He has been on platform throughout the US and London. Richard began his career as a hairdresser in 1970. By 1974 he had became a Platform Artist for Paul Mitchell, and in 1976 became an Educator for their Advanced Hair Cutting School in Washington, DC.

In 1985, after ten years with Paul Mitchell Richard became the exclusive distributor of Aveda products in the Washington, DC region. As a distributor, he not only sold products, but also worked with salons and stylists teaching them how to successfully market Aveda products to their clients. Missing the action and excitement of Platform work, Richard went to work for Joico as a Platform Artist and Educator and, in 1996, moved to Zegarelli where he spent several years on Platform in London, training Educators, and producing hair shows. While in London, he learned and ultimately began teaching human Hair Extensions.

In 1999 Richard created Extend USA in order to develop a new system of extensions that no other company was offering. Since 1999 he has personally trained over 1000 stylists on his system of custom blended hair extensions. In total there are over 1600 stylists throughout the United States currently using Extend USA products.

Richard still works behind the chair at Cris Richards Hair Studio that he and his wife Cristine opened in 2002. As a colorist for 10 years Cristine, a former educator and a platform artist, was critical to developing the custom blending process that is signature to Extend USA.

Today, Extend USA hair extensions has become the major source of income for their salon.

We require a $500 non-refundable deposit to hold your place in the class and the balance is due 10 business days before the day of your class (deposits are transferable to other classes in case of illness).
